AP Calculus AB and BC
I am so thrilled to be teaching AP Calculus! It is my favorite subject in math. I hope that you will enjoy the course as well! AP Calculus is a rigorous course that requires a commitment to studying. Students will be expected to draw on their prior knowledge to approach Algebra II and Pre-Calculus topics without the aid of a graphing calculator, learn, synthesize and apply trigonometric identities, and learn many new topics in the wonderful world of mathematics. Each student must have access to a TI-83+ or higher calculator. (I prefer it not be the TI-89 calculator this year as I have limited knowledge of it.) It will be your responsibility to be informed at all times...even when absent! Below are links to the material covered in the current unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. See the CONTACT tab to see how! Best of luck for a successful year!!! Remember our exam is on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. This year CMS is paying for every student to take the AP Exam. (It is NOT optional!!!) Students enrolled in this course will take the AP Calculus BC exam.
